The pursuit of climbing has always been about challenging the status quo, about redrawing boundaries, about finding a way to perform better. We get to see examples of incredible feats achieved everyday that were previously not even thought of. However, while climbers continuously strive to redefine what is considered humanly possible, the gear climbers use has evolved in a relatively conservative manner. Deccan Climbing was therefore formed with the vision of helping climbers push their limits through creating innovative, quality and versatile gear by constantly challenging what is accepted as the norm for gear design and performance. As climbers ourselves, it is something we take pride and enjoyment in.

We take our name from our home in the Deccan Plateau area of South India, where we have the privilege of being in the midst of world class climbing locations like the domes of Ramanagara, the cliffs of Badami and the boulders of Hampi.
